Nathaniel Luffman

Mr. Nathaniel Columbus Luffman, age 94, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Luffman was born June 15, 1928 in Wilkes County to Noah and Rosey Luffman

Mr. Luffman was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing with 48 years of service. He enjoyed working on his tractor and working in his yard.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna G. Luffman; sons, Eddie Gray Luffman and Jonathan Wayne Luffman; brothers, Paul Luffman and Silas Luffman; sister, Josephine Wilmoth.

Survivors include: grandchildren, Randall Luffman, Barry Luffman and his wife Sherry, Jonathan and his wife Angela Luffman Jr., Jayme Morris and her husband Derek; great grandchildren, Sheriastin Dutch, Branson Luffman, Regan Morris, and Kendall Morris; great-great granddaughter, Gracelyn Dutch; nephew, Max Luffman

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

The family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice for their care, Tonya Jenkins for being a care giver and a special nephew Max Luffman.
