Ophelia Dancy Felts, age 93, of Elkin, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Ophelia was born October 25, 1930 in Wilkes County to Charles and Minnie Brown Dancy.
Ophelia is of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking and canning and was an avid gardener.
In addition to her parents, Ophelia was preceded in death by eleven siblings. Survivors include: sons Ray Felts and Charles Felts of Elkin; daughter Elizabeth Felts of Athens, TN; and one grandchild, Andrea Felts.
A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountlawn Memorial Park in North Wilkesboro. The family will receive friends at Elkin Funeral Service on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
