Paul Daniel Benton

Paul Daniel Benton, of Ronda, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the age of 79. Paul was born in Surry County on August 26, 1944, to P.D. Benton and Lou Alice Vestal Benton.

Paul retired from Unifi after many years of service. He was also a board member of the Ronda Fire Department and was passionate about racing, wrestling, working on old cars, cruise-ins, and supporting Donald Trump.

He was a member of Ronda Baptist Tabernacle, where he served as a deacon.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, P.D. and Lou Alice Benton.

He is survived by his loving wife, Zella Mae Harris Benton, daughter Sandra Benton Bryant (Johnny Triplett) son Tim Benton (Holly), grandchildren Amber Tilley (Blake), Jake Bryant (Olivia), Ty Benton (Emma), Kenlee Benton, Shea Triplett, Jack Triplett, and great-grandchildren Kamdyn Tilley, Kassidy Tilley, Somers Tilley, and Brody Rakes. He is also survived by his special friends: Don and Geraldine Vestal, Terry and Jan Benton, Felix Misenheimer, and his Ronda Baptist Tabernacle Church family.

A visitation will be held at the Ronda Baptist Tabernacle on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm, with Rev. Josh Blevins and Rev. Kevin Blevins officiating. The interment will take place at Ronda Baptist Tabernacle Cemetery. Paul will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
