"UNBREAKABLE"
As I sit in darkness, my husband is there, caressing my heart, through burdens I bear. Through doubtful words, my tears and fears, my husband speaks words, of a future so clear. I get up again, as he speaks words of light, daring to hope, for a future that's bright. Rising in hope of all I might see, planting new life, together with glee. Looking around at life's budding trees, Knowing within, they are like me. Deeply rooted, in a foundation that's strong, unwilling to break, in a storm that's been long. So with hands lifted high, I bend without breaking letting all things fall, that are not of God's making. Like a strong tree, that's tossed in a storm, the dead is removed and new life is born. Deeply planted by rivers and streams, my roots are watered, my sins are washed clean. Purged by God's Word that's in my heart, forgetting the past while embracing a new start. by Reesa Thompson © May 28, 2016
