Peggy Phillips Carter

Peggy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Peggy was a floral designer for over 35 years at Ratledge Florist where she enjoyed making beautiful arrangements that would put a smile on the recipient's face and working with several colleagues who were like family. In her free time, she loved traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She was very creative and enjoyed blessing others with her Calligraphy work and crafting projects.

Peggy was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include: her husband, Gary Carter of the home; daughter, Melissa Cato of Greensboro; mother, Ruth Reece Phillips of Elkin; brother, Keith Phillips of Yadkinville; niece, Nikki Phillips Johnson; nephew, Chris Carter; great-niece Sydney and great-nephew Jacob.

A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
