Peggy Gross Williams

Mrs. Peggy Gross Williams, age 89, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy.

Mrs. Williams was born December 3, 1933 in Watauga County to James and Fannie Fletcher Gross. She was a member of Mountain Park Baptist Church and a 1955 graduate of Appalachian State University Teacher's College.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph M. Williams.

Survivors include: her daughters; Laura Jo Deshaies of Mountain Park and Martha Lynn Burkhart of Winston Salem; grandchildren; Alexandra Deshaies and Benjamin Burkhart.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, December 9, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Mountain Park Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Henderson officiating.  Mrs. Williams will lie in state prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mountain Park Cemetery.  The family will greet friends after the committal.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Mountain Park Baptist Church, 358 Zephyr Mtn. Park Road, State Road, NC  28676.
