Phyllis Stoker

Ms. Phyllis Maude Stoker, age 73, of State Road passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Ms. Stoker was born March 25, 1948 in Surry County to Harley and Hallie Barker Stoker.

Ms. Stoker loved flowers and the outdoors and enjoyed taking care of people. She was very caring and generous to those she loved. Ms. Stoker was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Ann Stoker.

Survivors include: her daughters, Christel Wilmoth and her husband Richard of Browns Summit, Monica Beach of Elkin, and Cindy Beach of Yadkinville; brother, Barry Stoker of Elkin; sister, Betsy Cockerham and her husband Roger of State Road; grandchildren, Isaiah Martin, Jade Norman, Brandon Wilmoth and his wife Elliana, Stephan Wilmoth and his wife Hannah, Rhianna Ashworth, and Kate Patterson; great-grandchildren, Jerimiah Wilmoth, Andrew Wilmoth, and Kaitlyn Wilmoth.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Richard Wilmoth officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Ln, Suite 201, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
