Mrs. Polly Ann Eller Dimmette, age 76, of Hamptonville passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Dimmette was born May 4, 1944 in Rowan County to Albert and Pauline Jackson Eller.
Mrs. Dimmette was a lifelong member of West Elkin Baptist Church and retired from Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation, formerly, Britthaven.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include: her husband, Philip Dimmette of the home; sons, Mark Dimmette and wife Melinda of Hamptonville, Scott Dimmette and wife Kellie of Hamptonville; sisters, Florence Billings of Elkin, Brenda Tharpe and husband Barry of Roaring River; grandchildren, Destiny Swaim, Sydni Dimmette, Riley Dimmette, Marleigh Dimmette, Aiden Dimmette, Owen Dimmette, Andrew Dimmette; great-grandchildren, Dakota Swaim, Dash Swaim, and Dessa Rhea Swaim.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Tony McCann, Rev. Barry Tharpe, and Rev. Kenneth Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Ronda Cemetery. Mrs. Dimmette will lie-in-state from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
