Mrs. Polly Adams Freeman, age 93, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Center in Elkin.
Polly was born October 7th, 1930 in Surry County to Sinkler and Bertie McCann Adams. Polly retired from Mayberry Learning Center and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church where she was a member of Women on Mission and loved sewing dresses for the mission project. She also enjoyed serving on the fellowship committee for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Buck Freeman and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Survivors include; Sons, Dale Freeman and wife Teri of Atlanta, Danny Freeman and wife Melissa of Elkin, sister, Jean Nixon and husband Roger of Boonville, two grandchildren, Drew Freeman, Hannah Clontz and husband Tyler, great granddaughter, Hazel Clontz.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 15th, 2024 at 3:30 pm at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Chad Whitley officiating. Burial will be private at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church or to Mountain Valley Hospice.
