Priscilla "Pat" Sparks

Mrs. Priscilla “Pat” Sparks, age 72, of State Road passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Sparks was born June 10, 1950, in Surry County to Alonzo Coolidge Layell and Pauline Ingool Layell.

Priscilla was a loving mother, grandmother, and member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in State Road.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Gratis Sparks Sr. and son Clyde Gratis "C.J." Sparks Jr.

Survivors include: her daughters, Gratia Sparks Alley of Oakboro, NC, Angie Sparks Trexler and her husband Jeff of Rockwell, NC; brother, Bobby Layell of Elkin; grandchildren, Lauren Trexler, Madison Trexler, Devin Law, Sarina Law; niece, Shannon Routh; and nephew Michael Layell.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
