Ray Edgar Felts, Jr.

Mr. Ray Edgar Felts Jr., age 90, of State Road, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024, at his residence. Ray was born in Wilkes County on June 13, 1933, to Ray Edgar Felts Sr. and Katie Fletcher Felts.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joan Wooten.

Survivors include his children, Eddie Felts, Elizabeth Felts, and Charles Felts, all of Elkin; sisters-in-law Phyllis Johnson of Hamptonville, Vivian Triplett and husband Dale of Elkin, Darlene Layell and husband Johnny of State Road, Ruth Wooten of Hamptonville; brother-in-law Dale Wooten and several nieces-in-law.

A graveside service will be held at Swan Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday,  May 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. James Hall officiating.
