Rebecca Money Sparks

Mrs. Rebecca Money Sparks, age 66 of Elkin, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Sparks was born July 22, 1957 to Richard Glenn Money and Florence Darnell Money.  Mrs. Sparks was a member of People’s Baptist Tabernacle.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Sparks was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Dale Sparks; sister-in-law, Brenda Reavis Money; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Bertie Sparks.

Survivors include: husband, Thomas “Tommy” Dale Sparks of the home; son, Jeremy Ryan Sparks and wife Amber of Elkin; siblings, Dale Money of Elkin, Loretta and husband Ronnie Sparks of Elkin, Tammy Money of Statesville, and Randall Money and wife Kim of Elkin; grandchildren Peyton Sparks and Paige Sparks; many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 28, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jonathan White, Rev. Garrett Miller and Randall Money officiating, burial will follow at Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
