Reggie Lee Burchette

Reggie Lee Burchette, age 75, passed away Monday, September 30, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. Reggie was born July 19, 1949, in Wilkes County to William Clyde and Gladys Myers Burchette. He was a member of Little Elkin Baptist Church. Reggie enjoyed cooking, barbequing, gardening, and sitting on the front porch. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and his church family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mickey Burchette. Survivors include his wife, Delaine Byrd Burchette; son, Brian Burchette and wife Sandra; daughter, Beth Blevins and husband Donnie; brother, Gary Burchette; sisters, Janet Ramsey, Debra Burchette and Kathy Burchette; grandchildren, Trey Blevins and wife Rhyne, Tristen Blevins, and Nathaniel Burchette. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Little Elkin Baptist Church, with Rev. Seth Siceloff and Rev. Aaron Barker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Wilkes VFW Post 1142 will provide military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
