Richard Craig Pardue

Mr. Richard Craig Pardue, age 65, of Elkin passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at his residence.  Mr. Pardue was born September 28, 1956 in Surry County to Richard Bill and Lucille Settle Pardue.

Craig retired from the NC DMV and was a member of Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Craig also worked for Specialty Car Company in Wilkesboro for many years.  He was the treasurer of Beekeepers of Wilkes and was a football official for over 30 years with the NW Region of High School Athletics. Craig served on the board of SECU and Elkin Parks and Recreation.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Survivors include: his wife Cheryl Pardue of the home, two sons, Caleb Pardue and wife Kimberley of Albuquerque, NM, Brett Pardue and wife Allison of Raleigh, a granddaughter, Zoë Pardue Donoghue, a sister, Gina Tanner and husband Van of Oak Ridge.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 2pm at Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Greg Runner and Rev. Kenny Gunn officiating.  Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens.  Mr. Pardue will lie-in-state Saturday January 22, 2022 from 8am – 5pm at Elkin Funeral Service. The family requests all those attending the services please wear a mask.
