Richard Scott Reynolds

Mr. Richard Scott Reynolds, age 52, of Elkin passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022.  Mr. Reynolds was born May 9, 1970 in Surry County to Roy Lee and Sandra Settle Reynolds.

Scott was a loving father and his family was everything to him.  He was willing to help anyone who was in need, and was very giving and generous.

In addition to his father, Lee Reynolds, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Donna Settle Davis; cousin, Anthony Brian Dudley; maternal grandparents, Garvey and June Settle and his paternal grandparents, Efird and Mittie Day.

Survivors include: his mother, Sandra Settle Reynolds; son, Houston Reynolds and fiancée Amelia Walsh; daughter, Jessica Church; fiancée, Kim Hayes; brother, Jason Reynolds and wife Lori; niece, Maci Reynolds and his canine companion, Gabby.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday, January 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Danny Dodds and Rev. Joe Wood officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Elkin Funeral Service.
