Robin Marthalene Gaither

Ms. Robin Marthalene Gaither, age 54, of Charlotte passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her home. Robin was born February 2, 1965 in Surry County to Robert and Beatrice Layell Gaither.

Robin graduated from Western Carolina University and retired from Wells Fargo in Charlotte. Robin grew up a small town girl that moved to the big city of Los Angeles right after college. She loved Southern California with its weather and beaches.   She would always say, "With the humidity out here there are “No Bad Hair Days". She moved back to NC to be closer to family in the 1990’s.

Robin loved to travel and did a lot of it, spending time in the Caribbean, Ireland, Italy and Greece." She minored in French and carried the love of the language into a love for the country but most of all a love of Paris.  That city always put a smile on her face.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Brown; nephew, Dale Adams; and fiancée, Joe Winguay.

Robin is survived by her great-niece, Ashley Adams of Elkin; special friend, Lorie Royal of Denver; and several cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted at a later date.

Robin loved her family deeply and was a fierce and loyal friend to all in her circle.   The light from her smile and her eyes will sorely be missed by all that knew her.
