Roger "P-Nut" Gray Holbrook

Mr. Roger "P-Nut" Gray Holbrook, age 74, of State Road, passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Roger was born in Wilkes County on October 16, 1948 to Grant William Holbrook and Hazel Russell Holbrook.

Roger retired from Newman Brothers Well Drilling Company and proudly served his country in the North Carolina National Guard.

He was a dedicated member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Barry D. Alexander.

Survivors include: his wife, Susan Craver Holbrook; children Alan Tritt, Cheryl Tritt (Kelly), April Long, Jonathan Tritt (Jessica), Jeremy Tritt (Amber), and Jamie Holcomb (Dacia); sisters Karen Holbrook Alexander, Lena Parthree; brother Gary Holbrook (Sylvia); grandchildren Kody William Long, Kaley Tritt, Justin Long, Carolyn Tritt, Blake Alan Tritt, Grace Tritt, Sarah Tritt, Adina Tritt, Nathaniel Tritt, Bailey Long and Briana Holcomb, special nephew, Brian Alexander (Carla), and several other loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Blankley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the church.
