Ronda Lee Spicer

Mrs. Ronda Lee Spicer, age 83, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at SECU Hospice Center in Yadkinville. Mrs. Spicer was born October 7, 1937 in Surry County to Rufus Buck Dodson and Mamie White Dodson.  She was a member of Roaring Gap Baptist Church and retired from Weyerhaeuser.  Mrs. Spicer was a loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by granddaughter, Courtney Jean Holsclaw; sister, Nannie Spicer and brothers, Ervin Dodson and Grady Dodson.

Survivors include: her husband, Billy Jack Spicer of the home; son, Robert Royall and his wife Jasmine of Elkin; daughter, Vickie Caudill and her husband Rocky of Elkin; step son, Todd Spicer of Elkin; sisters, Dorothy Royall of Elkin, Veronia Luffman of Elkin, Belle Dodson of Elkin, Sally Dodson of Elkin and Ruby Lynn of Elkin; grandchildren, Ricky Holsclaw and his wife Ashley of Elkin, Russ Royall of Elkin, Riley Royall of Elkin, Leah Royall of Elkin, Carter Hanson of Elkin, Carol Carter and her husband Craig of Boonville and Jason Caudill and his wife Janelle of Louisvillle, KY; great grandchildren, Devin Holsclaw, Nolan Holsclaw, Leland Holsclaw, Lanie Carter, and Levi Caudill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Roaring Gap Baptist Church in Thurmond with Rev. Charlie Benton and Rev. Richard Hackler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
