Ronnie Paul Gentry

Mr. Ronnie Paul Gentry, 75, of Elkin, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Pruitt Healthcare.

Ronnie, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, was born March 5, 1949, in Surry County to Paul and Blanche Snow Gentry. He cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them. His love for the outdoors led him to Stone Mountain to hike and fish. He also found joy in simple pleasures like doing word searches and watching the Andy Griffith Show.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his sisters, Bonnie Knight and Joann Goins, and brothers, Jim and Claude Gentry.

Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Gentry; daughters and son-in-law, Mary Marie Roberts of Traphill and Jennifer Harrold and husband Mike of Lexington; and grandchildren, Preston Blackwell, Kaitlyn Roberts, Brittany Burlson, Mikie Harrold, and Courtney Harrold.

A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Elkin Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Michael Osborne officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Elkin Funeral Service.
