Rosa Lee Holbrook

Rosa Lee Holbrook, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Hugh Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkin.

Rosa was born on September 21, 1939, in Surry County to Carl Harris and Flossie Myers Harris. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Rosa was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a granny to everyone. Rosa enjoyed cooking, reading her bible, and her grandkids. She also loved gameshows, specifically the Price is Right.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Fred Holbrook; her brother, Bud Harris; and her sister, Dare Ann Shumate.

Survivors include: her son, Michael Holbrook and wife Jamie of Ronda; daughter, Becky Cook and husband Tony of Jonesville; her brother, Bro. Jimmy Harris and wife Carolyn of North Dakota; sister, Ila Mae Combs of Ronda; grandchildren, Cody Cook and his wife Haley, Rev. Dylan Cook and wife Makayla, Garrett Holbrook and wife Megan, Nicholas Brown and his wife Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Conner Cook, Emersyn Holbrook, Ella Holbrook, Eden Holbrook, Ava Cook; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Ronda Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Dylan Cook and Bro. Jimmy Harris officiating. Family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service. Internment will occur in the Ronda Cemetery.
