Roy Bert Wood

Mr. Roy Bert Wood, age 79, of Elkin passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at his home. Mr. Wood was born November 23, 1941 in Wilkes County to Walter and Nancy Alice Wood.

Mr. Wood was a retired block mason and an avid fisherman. He was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Bertha “Peanut” Wood and brother, Claude Wood.

Survivors include: his brothers, Johnny G. Wood (Helen Phillips) of Elkin, Grady Wood of Elkin; nieces and nephews, Sheila Sidden, Julie Mitchell, Joey Wood, Claudia Vanhoy; several great nieces and nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
