Ruby Bowers Mcgee

Mrs. Ruby Bowers McGee, age 72, of Elkin passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mrs. McGee was born March 17, 1948 in Wilkes County to Mack and Hessie Handy Bowers.

Mrs. McGee was a graduate of Regency Beauty School and was the owner and operator of His and Hers Hairstyles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Mae McGee; brother, Sam Bowers; and former husband, Rob McGee.

Survivors include: her daughter, Ann McGee of Pilot Mountain; sons, Randy McGee of Elkin, Darrell McGee and wife Liz of State Road, Ken McGee and wife Ashley of Harmony; brother, Mack Bowers and wife Rita; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Bowers Family Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Prevette officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 North Bridge St., Elkin, NC 28621.
