Ruth Wooten Tillie

Mrs. Ruth Wooten Tillie, age 94, of North Wilkesboro passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at Villages of Wilkes. Mrs. Tillie was born April 29, 1925 in Wilkes County to Enoch Kelsey and Daisey Campbell Wooten.

Mrs. Tillie was a member of Oak Level Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Eugene Tillie; son, Billy Wooten; daughter, Wanda Wooten; and sister, Hazel Renegar.

Survivors include: stepson, Ronnie Tilley and wife Linda of Trinity, Scott Tilley of High Point; daughter, Glenda Mecimore; brothers, Clay Wooten of Atlanta, Chuck Wooten of California, sister, Helen Howell of Yadkinville; and two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Oak Level Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Keith Wood officiating.
