Samantha Lyon Myers

Mrs. Samantha Lyon Myers, age 96, of Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Myers was born June 21, 1925 in Wilkes County to William Granville Lyon and Manie McCann Lyon.

Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wilkesboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 79 years, Ralph William Myers; sister, Marie Myers; and brothers, John Delbert Lyon and Armfield Lyon.

Survivors include: her sisters, Pauline Simmons of Thurmond, Kay Luffman of Elkin, and Gail Roberts of Statesville; and several loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Brady Hayworth officiating.  Burial will follow in Austin Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, PO Box 315, Millers Creek, NC 28651 or Austin Baptist Church, 500 Roaring Gap Church Rd, Elkin, NC 28621.

The family would like to thank special caregiver, Neal Settle, for the care, support, and love shown to Samantha and Ralph.
