Shirley Ann Foster

Mrs. Shirley Ann Waddell Foster, age 76, of Ronda passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born June 24, 1943 in Wilkes County to Freeland and Mary Soots Waddell.

Mrs. Foster was a member of Ronda Church of God and retired from Candle Corp. She was a member of the Gospel Four Quartet for over 20 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lester Foster; son, Samuel Foster, two great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: son, Scotty Foster and wife Melissa of Ronda; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Foster of Ronda; sisters, Margie Foster of Ronda; grandchildren, Melissa Pruitt and husband Shawn, Matthew Foster and wife Amber, Jenny Foster, Kelly Foster, Erin Foster; great-grandchildren, Aubree Pruitt, Xavier Pruitt, Mason Foster; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jody Bewley, Rev. Boh Mabe, and Rev. Marty Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Ronda Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
