Susie Royall

Mrs. Susie Hemric Royall, 96, of State Road passed away Friday, October 23, at Central Continuing Care. She was born December 9, 1923 in Surry County to Eddie and Laura McCann Hemric.

Susie was a homemaker and member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in State Road. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Tyre Royall; daughter, Sharron Atkins; son-in-law, Rev. Lanny Atkins; brother, Fred Hemric; and sister, Frances DeBorde.

Survivors include: son, J.T. Royall and wife Alice; grandchildren, Andy Atkins and wife Tracy, Annessa Beaman and husband David; great-grandchildren, Samantha Atkins, Lydia Atkins, Daniel Atkins, Abigail Beaman, Joshua Beaman, and Tabitha Beaman.

A memorial service honoring the life of Mrs. Royall will be conducted Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. John Attaway, and Rev. Dylan Cook officiating.
