Thelma Lawrence Davis

Mrs. Thelma L. Davis, age 92, of Elkin passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Davis was born November 2, 1928 in Wilkes County to John and Bertha Carter Lawrence.

Thelma retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Davis; sisters, Ruby Wells and Helen Bauguess; and brother; Lee Lawrence.

Survivors include: daughter, Debbie Walch and husband Brian of Longwood Fla.; Brothers, Bill Lawrence of Elkin, James Lawrence and wife Ann of Boonville, and Jack Lawrence of Mesa, Az.; sisters, Nellie Jo Park of Elkin, and Betty Brooks and husband Sammy of Elkin; grandchildren, Stephanie Wright and husband Tyler, Meghann White and husband Brad, Sarah Harris and husband James; Great-Grandchildren, Nora White, Evelyn White, and Gavin Wright.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday, April 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Ball officiating. Mrs. Davis Will lie-in-state Sunday April 11, 2021 from 1:00-400: p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to choice of the donor.
