Tom Brooks

Mr. Charles Thomas “Tom” Brooks, age 75, of Hamptonville passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at his home. Mr. Brooks was born December 14, 1943 in Surry County to Sebert and Fern Brooks.

Mr. Brooks was of the Baptist faith and retired mechanic from Holt International.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lanny Brooks; sisters, Barbara Combs, and Brenda Barker.

Survivors include: his daughter, Tonda Tyndall and husband Allen of King; brothers, Danny Brooks and wife Betty of State Road, Mickey Brooks and wife Pat of Dobson; sister-in-law, Lucille Brooks; grandchildren, Shianne Tyndall, Seth Tyndall; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Mickey Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
