Virginia Crabb Ashburn

Mrs. Virginia Crabb Ashburn, age 98 of Pfafftown passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at her home.

Virginia was born January 28, 1926, in Surry County to Barney and Pearl Walker Crabb.

She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Leo Ashburn, Sr., her daughter, Linda Ashburn, and three sisters, Rosa Lee Johnson, Ruth Hamm, and Ruby Crouse.

Survivors include her son, Clifford Leo Ashburn, Jr., and wife Beth of Pfafftown; daughter, Sandra Kay Young and husband, Bill of Raleigh; brother, Vaughn Crabb, and wife Nancy of High Point; five grandchildren, David Ashburn, Brian Ashburn, Zachary Ashburn, Bradley Smith, Kellie Smith Roberson; and ten great-grandchildren, Claire, Rosalie, Scarlett, Micah, Jane, Ava, Kayson, Jayson, Elsie and Evelyn.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, April 12, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. David Ashburn officiating. The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
