Wanda Benge

Mrs. Wanda Dean Anderson Benge, age 74, of Ronda passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Benge was born April 29, 1948 in Surry County to Leonard Greenwood Anderson and Eva Joines Anderson.

Mrs. Benge was a member of Union Baptist Church and retired from Yadkin Valley Bank.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy “Bo” Benge and sister, Barbara Culler.

Survivors include: her daughter, Karen Benge Shelton of Elkin; brother, Greg Anderson and his wife Wendy of Raleigh, NC; sisters, Freida Martin of Cumming, GA, Janet Brown of Clemmons, NC; granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Shelton; and special nephew, Clark Anderson of Raleigh, NC.

A memorial service will be conducted Friday, June 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Kenny Pardue officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
