Mr. Lee Adams, 60, of Traphill, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Lee was born in Forsyth County on January 12, 1965, to William Gaither Adams Jr. and Linda Angel Somers.
Lee attended Welcome Home Baptist Church and was an Austin Volunteer Fire Department member.
Lee was a true outdoorsman, finding joy in fishing, hunting, and any activity that involved being outdoors. He loved his family, especially his great nephews and nieces, and spent as much time with them as he could. His presence in the community was significant. He always had a cup of coffee in hand, watching over his beloved community.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Angel Somers.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, William Gaither Adams Jr and wife Nora Lou of State Road; brother Melvin James Adams Sr. and wife Taylor of Hamptonville; step-brother, Barney Sullivan and wife Ruby of State Road; step-sister, Lynn Stokes and husband Michael of Hamptonville; nephews, Melvin James Adams Jr. and wife Nickie, Ethan William Adams and wife Kera; niece, Tiffany Leanne Adams and husband Brady; and a large extended family of great nephews and nieces, including Maylon, Trenden, Hayden, Sydney, Knox, Sybil, Declan, Conner, Darian, Bryson, Anyiah, Willow, River, Justice and Waylon.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. David Hedrick and Pastor Matty Ponce-de-Leon officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Elkin Funeral Service on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
