William "Dub" Sanford Harris

William Sanford  "Dub" Harris, age 72, of Jonesville, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Atrium Health Wilkes Medical Center. He was born September 25, 1952, in Surry County to William Guy and Etta St. John Harris.

Dub was a man of many unique interests. As a Folk Artist, he crafted miniature moonshine stills, a skill that brought joy to many. His passion for storytelling led him to volunteer at the Wilkes Heritage Museum, where he shared captivating tales. He was also a dedicated Beekeeper, and his love for car shows and old-time racing was infectious.

Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Sheba McBride Harris of the home, his daughter, Billie, sister, Margaret Spain, and her husband, Max, two wonderful grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
