Andy Pardue

Mr. William Andrew “Andy” Pardue, age 71, of Ronda passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at his home. Mr. Pardue was born August 25, 1950 in Surry County to Major Pardue and Pauline Smith Pardue.

Mr. Pardue was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, and was the owner/operator of Pardue Farms. He was a graduate of Wilkes Community College and NC State Class of 1970 obtaining degrees in Crop Science and Business. Mr. Pardue was a member of the Ronda Fire Department for 15 years. He was the recipient of numerous agriculture, stewardship, and conservation awards including, Tyson Foods National Environmental Award in 2001, Wilkes County Soil and Water Conservation Farm Family of the Year in 1987, NC Soil and Water Conservation District Conservation Farm Family in 1987; Tyson Foods Breeder Farm Achievement in 1991 and 1992, and the 300 Bushel Corn Club through the NC Corn Growers Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Harpe.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Brenda Bledsoe Pardue; sons, Cameron Pardue and his wife Abigail of Ronda, Brandon Pardue and his wife Ashley of Ronda, Nathan Pardue and his wife Reneé of Ronda; grandchildren, Aubrey, Caden, Savannah, Jade, Judah, Ava, Sadie; sister, Helen Brooks and her husband Craig of Jonesville; brother-in-law, Henry Harpe of Ronda; mother-in-law, Ruby Bledsoe of Fleetwood, NC; sister-in-law, Carolyn Bledsoe of Fleetwood, NC and several special nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be conducted Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pardue Family Farm with Dr. Steve Fowler and Rev. Victor Church officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.

The family would like to thank the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and caregiver, Amber Martin for their care.
