"C.J." Clyde Gratis Sparks Jr.

Mr. “C.J.” Clyde Gratis Sparks, Jr, age 40, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  He was born February 1, 1978 in Columbia, SC to Clyde and Priscilla Layell Sparks.  In addition to his father, C.J. was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Ezra and Bernice Sparks and maternal grandparents, Coolidge and Pauline Layell.

Survivors include: mother, Priscilla L. Sparks of the home; sisters, Gratia S. Alley of Oakboro and Angela S. Trexler and husband Jeff of Rockwell; nieces and nephews, Devin and Sarina and Lauren and Madison.

A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, September 12, 2018  at 1:00 p.m. at State Road Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wake Forest Baptist Health ICU Cancer Center 8 West for their care and the many prayers from family and friends.
