Anna Hayes Hemric

Mrs. Anna Hayes Hemric, age 81, of Ronda passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at her residence. Mrs. Hemric was born January 10, 1942 in Wilkes County to John Andrew Hayes and Tressie Ett Tucker Hayes.

Mrs. Hemric was a member of Swan Creek Baptist Church and also taught the children's Sunday school classes there for over forty years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hemric was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray Hayes, Jessie Hayes, and Clyde Hayes; sisters Florence Riner, Maxine Horton, and Fay Smitherman; and daughter-in-law Patricia Wood Hemric.

Survivors include: husband, Jerry Lee Hemric of the home; sons, Michael Wayne Hemric of State Road, Brian Stewart Hemric and his wife Renee of Raleigh, Steve Charles Hemric and his wife Lori Ann of Elkin; brothers, Harold Hayes and his wife Linda of Winston-Salem, Paul Hayes and his wife Jane of Pfafftown; sisters, Bernice Cunningham of Huntsville, Alabama, Carrie Sue Walker and her husband Rodney of Ronda, Agnes Mayes and her husband Bill of Mountain Park; grandchildren, Brianna Hemric, Charity Hemric, Garrett Hemric, Faith Hemric, Hope Hemric, Caleb Hemric, Josiah Hemric, Joshua Hemric; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, 3:00 p.m., April 23, 2023 at Swan Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Bishop, Rev. Dan Buie, and Brian Hemric officiating. Mrs. Hemric will lie in state from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Swan Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
