Bonnie Hamby Osborne

August 17, 1944 — June 28, 2022

Mrs. Bonnie Andrea Hamby Osborne, age 77, of State Road passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Osborne was born August 17, 1944 in Surry County to Andrew Hamby and Annie Lee Harris Hamby.

Mrs. Osborne was a dedicated and active member of Mountain Park Baptist Church until her health declined. She was active with Vacation Bible School, the nursery, WMU, and DAR. Mrs. Osborne was a master seamstress and enjoyed arts and crafts. She worked with the Mountain Park Elementary before and after school program.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Enoch Webster Osborne; daughter, Tammy Osborne Church; and sister, Kathleen Hamby.

Survivors include: sons, Charles Andrew Osborne and his wife Ericka of Elkin, Michael Osborne and his wife Lisa of Jonesville; daughter, Mitzi Moody and her husband Benny of State Road; brother, Frank Hamby and his wife Kathy of Shoals; sister, Linda Hamby Swanson of Granite falls; grandchildren, Ethan Michah Osborne, Joseph Webster Osborne, Chad Church, Ben Moody, April Absher, Will Spicer, Ashley Osborne; great-grandchildren, Haven, Anna, Rylee Ann, Isabell, Brayden, Brylee, Hunter, Chloe, Koen, Karter; and several nieces.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Granville Branch officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Ramona, Mandy, Debbie, Denise, Amelia, and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for their care.
