Joe Carter

Mr. Joseph “Joe” Carter, age 58 of Atlanta, GA passed away November 25, 2021 at his home. Joe was born June 29, 1963 in Yadkin County to Jerry and Norma Carter.

Joe was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and retired from Havertys with 35 years of service. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran.

Joe was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include: his mother, Norma S. Carter of Elkin; cousin, Josephine Barnes of Martinsville, VA; and several other cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Dodds officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 593 Pleasant Hill Rd., Elkin, NC 28621.
