Judy Curry

Mrs. Judy Ann Ledbetter Curry, age 73, of Elkin passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Curry was born May 29, 1948 in Surry County to Lonnie Ledbetter and Mable Brown Ledbetter.

Mrs. Curry retired from AT&T and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Jean Wagoner, Dolly Smith, and Joyce Walker.

Survivors include: her loving husband, Butch Curry of the home; nieces, Joan Luffman of State Road, Tammy Cheek of Ronda; nephews, Greg Wagoner of Elkin, Todd Wagoner of Elkin, and Mark Smith of Winston-Salem.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital ICU and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for their care.
