Ralph William Myers

Mr. Ralph William Myers, age 98, of Wilkesboro passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 at his home. Mr. Myers was born August 30, 1923 in Surry County to James Henry Myers and Annie Garris Myers.

Mr. Myers was a retired Barber and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, serving as an ordained Deacon in the Baptist Church. He was a United States Army veteran serving as a medic during World War II, landing in the European Theatre on D-Day.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Claude Myers and Ted Myers; and sister, Erline Myers.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 79 years, Samantha Lyon Myers of the home; sister, Joan Whisnant and her husband Fred of Mocksville; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Brady Hayworth officiating. Burial will follow in Austin Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, PO Box 315, Millers Creek, NC 28651 or Austin Baptist Church, 500 Roaring Gap Church Rd, Elkin, NC 28621.
