Randy Dean Harris

Mr. Randy Dean Harris, age 64, of Elkin passed away at his home unexpectedly Thursday, August 25, 2022. He was born October 1, 1957 in Surry County to Grady Harris and Florence Cathaline Cheek Harris.

He attended Community Fellowship Church, and was previously employed with Lydall in Hamptonville. He was a veteran of the US Army.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brother, Tony Harris.

Survivors include: his sons, Matthew Harris of Delaware, Marcus Harris of Delaware, Randy Blaine Harris of California; brothers, Jerry Harris and his wife Annette of North Wilkesboro, Ricky Harris and his wife Deborah; sisters, Cathy Cannady of Elkin, Sandra Shaffner and her husband Marty of Elkin; grandson, Waylon Harris; and his yorkie Bella.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday, August 29, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Michael Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Knobbs Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
